Bum Marketing
So Easy A Bum Could Do It?
Since Bum Marketing was introduced thousands of people banked off of the idea and many more failed. Like all other methods, people thought this was there magic button get away and it would require absolutely no work at all.
While the novice marketers made a few sales here and there, the expert marketers took some ideas of their own into the mix and made a killing.
What Is Bum Marketing?
I'll keep this short and sweet. Bum Marketing is as follows:
#1: Find a niche you're interested in writing in.
#2: Do a keyword search to find keywords that get low searches and have low competition.
#3: Go to Google, do a quoted search of your keyword. EXAMPLE: Cars would be "Cars", and find keywords with 15,000 or less. (In my experience I've seen Ezine articles dominate keywords a lot more than 15,000).
#4: Set up a blog or website (Since Ezines doesn't care for affiliate links)
#5: Write articles on a consistent and daily basis linking back to this site and blog and you are now officialy a Bum Marketer.
Bum Marketing helped a lot of newbies but believe me, it's nothing new. A lot of people just didn't know or didn't put together that simple information. Travis Sago: The Creator of the Bum Marketing Method, banked off of the idea by promoting Wealthy Affiliate, a forum towards helping internet marketers make more money.
Bum Marketing Tips
First and foremost, the niches that some fellow bum marketers are targeting are way too broad. Try to select a sub niche out of your niche and you'll find much more targeted traffic. The key is to TARGET! your customers!
Long Tail Keywords are KING! You're sure to strike search engine gold on a keyword when it's a long tail low competition keyword. This is what Bum Marketing is all about. Stop targeting general keywords such as "Make Money Online" and "Credit Repair". Instead try targeting "Make Money Online With Paid Surveys" or "Credit Repair Resources".
It's not as general and it's more likely to gain a better ranking. The longer the keyword, the better. Always make sure that the term is actually getting searches though, or else it would be pointless. Also: Check to see if any advertisers are currently paying for spots on the search engines with this keyword.
Believe me, if people are shelling out money for Adwords spots, then this keyword must be profitable.
You have to write consistently and target the right keywords if you want to bank off of this method. Even a bum can do it, but not a lazy bum!
