What is Article Marketing?
Article Marketing is a very powerful resource and method. Article Marketing generates one way backlinks and a lot of traffic if it's used right. It's all about the keywords you target and how you write the article.
Article Directories:
There are thousands of Article Directories out there but there's only two worth submitting to. Both of these directories are loved by Google and if you use them right, you can dominate any keyword.
Ezinearticles - This was the first huge article directory to come out in 1999. All of the articles are reviewed by a human and they earn profits by the use of adsense on every article submitted. They carry a lot of authority because of their standards and how long they've been around.
The more consistent you are with submitting articles and the more you submit, the higher your author link's page rank will go up, and this is good because you'll have a high page rank backlink linking to every single one of your articles.
You have to stay on topic though, because the more consistent and on subject you are, the better ranking your articles and website will get, resulting in more organic and direct traffic.
GoArticles - GoArticles was also an early bird and while it's not as great as Ezines or carry as much weight, some people have still had great rankings and results with GoArticles as well.
Consistency:
If you set a schedule, stick to it. If you plan to write 3-5 articles/daily or even 1 article/daily, then you need to stick to it.
Author Box:
This is what will hopefully turn readers into potential customers. I see way too many author resource boxes with the same old boring box. "Want to learn more? Click Here" Blah Blah Blah.. Boring.
You need a headline that stands out and speaks to the people reading your article. For instance:
Rust Remover:
"We wish Rust were a real person so we could do some bodily harm"
You need an author box that will speak out to people and it can be funny. Expirement with different author boxes to find out which one will give you the higher Click Through Rate.
Author Title:
This is the most important part of your article. This will determine whether your article is worth reading or not. This should also include your main keyword for SEO purposes. Search engines like to see your main keyword in your title, and once again, the title must be something that stands out to the readers or your article won't be read.
The title of your article will tell the reader what your article is all about. Instead of "Make Money Online", you could use a title such as :
Make Money Online - It's All Lies!
or
Make Money Online - Why you Can't Do It!
Article SEO:
Although, not the main and most important part of an article, SEO essentially does help a ton with search engine rankings. If you're Bum Marketing, then this is an important step.
Every article should be 350-400 words with the main keyword included twice through out the article. This keeps the keyword density at around 1-2% and will help you dominate the lower searched key terms.
A good keyword that can hit the top of the search engines without effort is anywhere up to 15,000 search results with quotes. To reach the top of the search engines for keywords with much higher search results, you're going to need much more than SEO. You're going to need some good quality backlinks from relevant places linking to that article.
So, to establish good article SEO, include your main keyword in: The title, the keywords (obviously) and twice in the article it's self.
You have to remember though, that places like Ezines and some other article directories will not let you directly link to an affiliate link. So you either
A: Have to establish a website
B: Set up a free blog such as (Wordpress) or (Blogger)
Article Marketing takes time and isn't overnight. Be consistent whether you write only 1 a day or 5 a day. Persistence pays off in the end. Like with everything else in this business, time is money and the more time you put into something with greater effort will turn out greater money in the end. You've just got to consistently write about something you're passionate about and do your niche/keyword research and you'll be dominating the search engines soon and watching your bank account grow!
